I am an Associate Professor in Neurolinguistics and Language Development at the University of Groningen.
Current projects
I am the Principal Investigator (PI) of Chila Language Disorders lab (CLaDis lab) at the University of Groningen. I am also the PI of the NWO-funded VIDI project "Verb processing and verb learning in children with pediatric posterior fossa tumours"., and the PI on the project "Verbal Learning in Young Children", funded by SKNPNN.

Clinical and linguistics
morphosyntactic deficits in children with brain tumors, developmental language disorders, and individuals with aphasia
language assessment and rehabilitation with a cognitive neuropsychological and linguistic approach
coadjuvant rehabilitation techniques, in particular, tDCS
Neurolinguistics and language neuroscience
neural correlates of language impairments, particularly, verbal learning difficulties and morphosyntactic impairments
neural correlates of language learning and practice effects, and change in typically developing children, adults, and in ageing
neural predictors of response to language treatment and natural recovery of language after brain lesion (e.g., stroke, brain tumors)
