Big Brothers/Big Sisters

This is a chance for teens to step up and build a bond with a child by mentoring that child for one year.

I am looking for youth who have access onto Travis Air Force Base, who have shown leadership qualities, and are committed to seeing the program through to the end. We ask for a one year commitment. We meet at the Youth Center on base, Tuesdays from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Participation in this program looks great on a college application and resume. Students can also gain community service hours used towards graduation. I am willing to write letters of recommendation for college and help with that transition as well.

This is an opportunity to serves the community all while gaining useful skills such as patience, teaching, counseling, and child development. This is perfect for students interested in teaching at the Elementary school level, Social Work, Psychology, or anyone who is interested in working with children in the future.

I have attached the application for interested students to fill out and turn into me the day of their interview. Thank you so much for your time, I hope to speak with you soon.
