VALLEY VIEW WATCH DOGS

Valley View Middle School and its Parent Club are excited to support the Watch D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students) program at our school. WATCH D.O.G.S. is the safe schools initiative of the National Center for Fathering.  The program involves fathers and father figures to help create a more safe and secure learning environment in our schools.

Who are Watch D.O.G.S.? Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day each year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the school principal or other administrator.

  • All Watch DOGS are required to submit a Volunteer Application.  When approved you are valid for two years across our school distrcit.  You can download this application on the FORMS page of our school website.  You may also contact Mrs. Walker or call her at the front office (360-563-4225) and she can have one sent home with your student.  Completed packets should be submitted to Mrs. Walker in the main office.
Once you have completed the registration form and your volunteer application has been approved we will give you email access to our Watch Dog calendar.  This will allow you to select dates to serve at Valley View.
  • Make sure that you talk with your student about what your day might look like.  This feedback is important in creating a daily schedule that will work for both you and your student.  Mr. Summers will send you a reminder about this prior to your day on campus.
  • Sign-ups for our program will occur throughout the year.  Feel free to sign up for more than one day if you would like.
Thank you for your interest in becoming more involved in serving your child's school.  Please click on the following link to access our sign-up calendar: VOLUNTEER SPOT
