Valkyrie Intake O-ring Kit
Kit contains 6 Viton-GF o-rings.
One goes on at the bottom of each intake manifold, where it touches the head. The head gets hotter than Heater, but these o-rings survive.
Fits all 1500cc Honda Valkyrie models, 1997-2003.
Kit costs $11.68 on redeye.eCrater.com
Caps for the Evaporative System on California Model Valkyrie
Kit contains 6 Viton-B Vacuum Caps, with nylon plug & Teflon PFA band clamps.
These vacuum caps are made of Viton-B material, which is going to stay in like-new condition for decades. This material is resistant to high temperatures, low humidity, direct sunlight, ozone and the presence of fumes from ethanol, methanol, MTBE, regular gas, premium gas.
California model has these VIN numbers: 1HFSC341, 1HFSC344, 1HFSC347, 1HFSC411. Look for a bent brass tube of diameter 5mm (3/16"). If such a tube exists, these vacuum caps should fit, because you got yourself a set of carbs from a California model.
If you happen to have carbs from a California model and you have no longer want to keep the evaporative emissions system, then you would want to remove this stuff shown in the EVAP CANISTER picture:
the charcoal canister, Part #17410-MV9-772 $340 from Honda)
the vacuum operated valve (#17430-MZ0-770 $100 from Honda) and
the upper octopus (Carb Tubing Fiche Part #8,25,26,27,28,29 discontinued by Honda, but $100 last seen).
When you remove the upper octopus, it leaves some 5mm brass tubes uncovered on the sides of the carbs. If you leave them that way, you'll be sucking unfiltered air into the air pathways for the carbs. This is a really bad idea, so you want to cap these tubes. If you use ordinary vacuum caps, they will probably crack and leak in a few years.
Warning: The materials used in this product are known by the State of California to be carcinogenic, teratogenic and toxic when allowed to burn. So, if your bike catches on fire, don't breathe the smoke. California itself is carcinogenic and toxic when it burns, which means every Fall. So hold your breath until February, when it rains for 2 weeks straight and the mud slides sweep away all your worries. There. All better now.

Fuel Rail Tee Fitting Kit
CNC 6061 aluminum replacement for Honda's fuel tee fitting.
The Valkyrie has two of these: One between carbs #3 and #5, and one between carbs #4 and #6.

Kit costs $13.10 on redeye.eCrater.com
Polyurethane Drive Cushion Kit
VAPORWARE!
I've been trying to contract out these things for years.
Much firmer than the original drive cushions
Material chosen to wear out 1/4 as rapidly as the original nitrile rubber drive cushions
Choice of Polyurethane:
Leaning toward Forsch Polymers, because they actually provide specs. If a company doesn't brag about a spec, they won't meet it.
Material: 85A Heat Resistant, Sliding-Abrasion-Resistant, Hydrolysis Resistant, Ether based Polyurethane
Elusive Third O-ring at the rear axle. Click picture to see animation. The wheel is represented by the thing on the left, being cocked as it is foolishly installed on the gearbox on the right.
Did you install a Dash Number o-ring? Get it out of there.
Final Drive O-ring Kit
Kit contains 3 polyurethane o-rings
Big Skinny O-ring, 61mm ID X 2.0mm thick, 91302-MA6-003
Big Fat O-ring, 50.5mm ID X 3.5mm thick, 91358-MG9-003
Elusive Third O-ring, 39.5mm ID X 2.4mm thick, 91356-MG9-003
Polyurethane o-rings are very tough and abrasion resistant. Honda's nitrile o-ring wears rapidly, allowing water to wash the moly grease off the drive splines. The key issue is abrasion resistance.
Fits all 1500cc Honda Valkyrie models, 1997-2003.
Kit costs $5.45 on redeye.eCrater.com
Replaces Honda Part Number 52489-MW3-305
Quiet Bushing Kit, Ver. 2
for Original Rear Valkyrie Shocks (Showa)
Kit contains: 4 bushings (cast polyurethane)
Polyurethane is very durable under heavy loads. This particular polyurethane has an additive to not squeak. Lab tests under full load have failed to get it to squeak. Tests were dry (no lube) from -10F to 190F.
The Valkyrie's rear shock rotates up to 30 degrees at the upper pivot, going over a speed bump. This destroys the OEM nitrile rubber bushings. While ordinary polyurethane lasts longer than rubber, the shock brays like a donkey: The shock cover rings in response to each snap the bushing makes during rotation. You could grease it, but the grease squeezes out and then it is a donkey again. The Red Eye bushings get you the durability of polyurethane, minus the donkey, minus any maintenance.
Fits all 1500cc Honda Valkyrie models.
Kit costs $11.99 on redeye.eCrater.com
Valkyrie Heat Shield Kit
Kit contains:
Pre-cut 4mm-5mm thick black silicone rubber heat shield
5 bolts with 5 large stainless steel washers (for desmogged bikes)
Six yellow plastic hole plugs, to keep debris out of intake ports of the heads while you work, for a side-install. You can alternatively pull the radiator and for front-install.
Fits all 1500cc Valkyries, stock or desmogged.
This is a barrier of black silicone rubber. It has standoffs molded in, keeping an air gap between it and the engine. Silicone rubber is not affected by the heat of the engine.
Testing on a Valkyrie Interstate shows this shield reduces the heat soak effect, so hot restarts on a hot day are easy. When the air or bike is moving, the shield reduces the carburetor temperature by around 15 degrees F, equivalent to running fuel with 0% ethanol without the shield. The Valkyrie was designed 24 years ago for 0% ethanol.
Interesting side effect: On the Interstate, the tranny gear noise is reduced with the heat shield. This is a WTH kind of thing, because the heat shield is blocking the crankcase, not the tranny. It appears the top of the crankcase acts as a thin membrane, and it resonates from the transmission gear vibrations. The Valk crankcase broadcasts tranny vibrations like a loudspeaker.
This product doesn't have any experience yet on the Standard or Tourer. However, this product should cool the fuel lines and carbs for a Standard or Tourer as it does for an Interstate. The gear noise reduction should happen for any fork-mounted Batwing windshield.
Fits all 1500cc Honda Valkyrie models.

Repair Kit for Valkyrie Disconnect
These two o-rings are Viton-GF. It is pretty common to slice these o-rings up while trying to install the male end of the disconnect into the female. So you need to keep a spare o-ring or two available on the bike.

R&D
In 2019, Red Eye forked over a bucket of money to get some Viton-GF o-rings coated with Teflon FEP. Red Eye discovered that maximum stickiness develops within 24 hours of installation, regardless of the o-ring material, so the testing didn't take very long. The o-rings were tested on a jig with a male and female acetal disconnect, the one used by Red Eye disconnect.

Pilot Screw SOW Kit
6 Springs, 6 pilot screw O-rings made of Viton-GF, 6 Washers. The metal parts are zinc plated with clear chromate conversion finish.
Fits all 1500cc Valkyries.
This is contained in the Carb O-ring Kit.
A scale drawing below shows how the o-ring is wedged in place.
Kit costs $9.39 on redeye.eCrater.com
In case you didn't know, letting your bike sit for a month will allow fuel to gel between the tip of the pilot screw and the hole it goes into. The gel is so small you wouldn't see it, even if you were looking right at it. Here is a CAD picture. It tapers from .004" thick on one end to .002" thick on the other. The thickness of cheap photocopy paper! Grrrr.
Symptom: You have to keep the choke open to idle.
Fix:
Open your pilot screws a quarter turn (or half turn). Stubby Pilot Screw Tool is available for US bikes, to do this.
Start the bike and test drive. Use acceleration followed by "engine braking" to get fresh fuel to start to flow past this gel plug. It only takes a few minutes. As soon as the bike is capable of idling, you're done with this step.
Screw the pilot screws back in quarter turn (or half turn).
Hella Stubby Tool is Endorsed by Sore Mel
Hella Stubby
Pilot Screw Tool
ON-BIKE ADJUST and BENCH ADJUST
This version of the Stubby Tool is suitable for unsticking stuck pilot screws.
Square brass handle
Stainless steel tube with a "precision" dent
Stainless steel rivet fixes the blade to the handle. It will not shear off at 24 in.lb.
Chamfer ground on the end of the tube, to help get at pilot screws really tightened into the hole.
Tool will fail at 24 in.lb. torque. Failure by rounding out.
If you bung up the tool's working end, resharpen it with a green carbide grinding wheel, holding tool at 45 degrees to the wheel face. Clean the inside edge with a tiny rat tail file. I guess that would be a mouse tail file. Those are at Harbor Freight.
When your pilot screw is corroded, it can take more than 5 in.lb. to unstick it. This tool will round out at 24 in.lb. When using your fingers to turn the handle, you'll reach your finger pain threshold at 6 to 8 in.lb. You can use a 13mm open end wrench on the handle, alternating CW and CCW at up to 12 in.lb. The tip of Hella Stubby should not degrade at 12 in.lb.
On-Bench Adjusting (Loosening a Stuck Pilot Screw)
Remove carb assembly and flip it upside down on the bench. Fuel runs out, so this is an outside job.
Get a 13mm open end wrench to use on the 13mm handle.
Get paper towels and get a liquid brass cleaner. Lime Away is awesome. Cleaning Vinegar is OK, but slower. White Vinegar, Apple Vinegar, and other edible vinegars are even slower. Any of these cleaners is better than nothing.
Dribble liquid cleaner onto pilot screw, letting it pool in the hole. First wrench CCW @ 12 in.lb., and then wrench CW @ 12 in.lb., and then mop the liquid out of the hole with edge of paper towel. CW means clockwise.
Repeat Step 4 until the screw comes all the way out CCW.

The Stealth kit is installed from the side of the bike. Pull the intake risers, and the pods too on an Interstate, so you can get your hands in there. Once you pull the old couplers onto the air pipes, the top air pipes lift straight up out of their holes in the head. The air pipes that bolt on underneath the heads are a little odd. You can leave the left rear one bolted on, but the right front one needs to be unbolted and tilted as in this picture so that you can remove one of the top air pipes.
You can install plugs only where they are needed (busted reeds!), or you can install them in all six couplers.
Valkyrie OEM Petcock Vacuum Line
This assembly has Viton-B tubing outside, with Teflon FEP tube inside, and two Happy Fingers style hose clamps. This runs from the #6 intake to the OEM petcock's vacuum nipple.

Valkyrie Bowl Gasket Kit
Six Viton-GF gaskets.
Replacements for Honda parts: 16163-KEA-000 or 16163-MZ0-000
Custom soft formulation of Viton-GF, designed to seal against damaged surfaces. Hardness 65A Shore.
Includes a clear plate of polycarbonate and a one way air valve. This is for testing (before gluing) your success at cleaning the groove, and also testing your success after gluing the gaskets into the groove. You can test without buying a MityVac. If you still have your original o-ring on the drain screw, you could cover the screw end with bubble gum to make a seal.
You'll also need to get an adhesive like "3M 847 Scotch Grip 5 oz. tube", if you want to glue the gasket into the lip of the bowl like Honda did. Aircraft Spruce has 3M 847 for $17.50, and they also have Plexus for your windshield. Here is the product spec sheet for 3M 847 which shows it to be liquid nitrile rubber thinned with acetone. Why did 847 triple in price since 2009? Can I use something cheaper from an auto store? Yes, 3M-1357 Scotch-Weld and 3M-1300 Scotch-Weld both meet the 1966 MMM-A-121 mil specs, but they still cost $15 a tube... Talk to the guys at your local auto store to get something more economical. Don't use silicone (RTV) glue.

Valkyrie Fuel Rail Leak Kit
This provides you with sufficient parts to get through the replacement of the fuel rail o-rings. The air rail o-rings are included because the originals are likely to break on reassembly. The hardware in Bag G is used to replace washers and cotter pins that magically disappear upon removal of the crossbar from between the carbs. This Bag G is a stripped down version of Bag G1 (in Carb Gasket Kit). This bag G does not have the 2 ball bearings for the crossbar.
The original stainless steel dowels are easily destroyed while separating the carbs. The acetal hollow dowels can replace any or all of the stainless steel ones.
This Bag L is a stripped down version of Bag L2 (in carb Gasket Kit). This Bag L does not have the high speed steel pin punch.
As a side note, the o-ring grooves are super fragile because the tee fitting is maade of nylon with glass fiber. If you use a sharp object to get the o-rings off, you are likely to stab or gouge an o-ring groove and cause a leak. Below is a link to a youtube video from some crazy guy. It shows how use the pinch method to get the o-rings off without damaging anything:
