Short project description

The project is dedicated to diversity management of V4 country. The analyses of the regional determinants and effects of implementation of diversity management by organizations will fill a gap in knowledge in this field. They help to select the best practices and to disseminate them. The project will increase awareness of diversity and management diversity about the importance of diversity for solving labor market problems. The results will be for development of V4 and competitiveness.

Detailed project description

An aging workforce, youth unemployment, low level of activity of women is the significant problem thought Europe which is necessary to address. The region of Central and Eastern Europe (especially V4) faces similar demographic challenges as the Western Europe. The regional determinants and the effects of implementation of the diversity management (DM) by organization located in V4 will fill a gap in knowledge in this field. They help to select the best practices and to disseminate them. DM is the key to growth in today’s fiercely competitive global market. The project increases the awareness of the partners (employers, managers, HR specialists, students) about the importance of DM. The cooperation will help to examine regional determinants and the effects of implementation and to identify the best practices and disseminate them among partners. The project is divided into 4 stages: 1) Research whose aim is to analyze the regional determinants and effects of implementation of DM by organizations in V4 region: compare the result of the research and select the best practice in this field. Case study method will be used as well as analysis of existing data and survey 2) preparation and distribution of information books of the result of the research in 4 national language address to practitioners: employers, HR managers, students (economy, administration, education) 3) Organizing an international scientific conference on the results of the research 4) Carrying out 4 thematic workshop on regional determinants and effects of the implementation and promotion of DM in the area of V4 countries (and Ukraine) including the best practice in this field (one in Czech, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland) addressed to the above mentioned practitioners.

Target groups and groups benefiting from the project

Target groups of the project are: HR managers, researchers, employers, university workers, students (especially students of economy, management, administration and education graduates of those faculties most often will direct and develop human resources) and other European country Ukraine, who are interested in research results and research methodology shown during project action. Media (such branch journals and radio) can be other target groups, which can also participate in promoting of Visegard universities achievements that are reached owing to studies edited in the form of symposium proceeding. International scientific cooperation will promote research findings and its authors of Visegard country what create and chance to promote Visegard cooperation in other European country.
