Founded in 1972, the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association is a pre-professional membership association for undergraduate and graduate students interested in the study of communication sciences and disorders.
NSSLHA is the only official national student association recognized by the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
NSSLHA has approximately 13,000 members with chapters at more than 300 colleges and universities.
University of West Georgia's NSSLHA is a student-run organization.
The Speech-Language Pathology Program at UWG is housed in the College of Education.
