UWFRA Outdoor Club

Welcome to UWFRA Outdoor Club:

Come and join us every Tuesday evening 18:00 at The Hut (UWFRA HQ), Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Hut on the Hebden Road, Grassington.

We go Climbing, Caving, Fell walking, Mountain Biking, and much more. Have a look at the FB page to see some of what we do (ask admin for access as it is now a closed group FB page).

The club has equipment such as harnesses, ropes and helmets available for members to use.

Founded by active members of the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue in order to try to encourage young people to become familiar with fell rescue techniques and activities and perhaps one day join the fell rescue team.

All our coordinators are DBS certified.

Members will benefit from British Mountaineering Council and British Caving Association membership with their associated insurance cover.

Activities are usually led by members of the rescue team or other experienced members and ages range from around 10 to adult (all children 13 or under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
