UWFRA Outdoor Club
Welcome to UWFRA Outdoor Club:
The Outdoors Club activities have well and truly restarted! Already 18 evening outdoor trips have taken place including climbing, caving, mountain biking, geocashing, rescue practicing and navigation. With lots more planned for the late summer and autumn.
So come and join us every Tuesday evening 18:00 at The Hut (UWFRA HQ), Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Hut on the Hebden Road, Grassington.
We go Climbing, Caving, Fell walking, Mountain Biking, and much more have a look at the FB page (ask admin for access as it is now a closed group FB page) to see some of what we do.
The club has equipment such as harnesses, ropes and helmets available for members to use.
Founded by active members of the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue in order to try to encourage young people to become familiar with fell rescue techniques and activities and perhaps one day join the fell rescue team.
All our coordinators are DBS certified.
Members will benefit from British Mountaineering Council and British Caving Association membership with their associated insurance cover.
Activities are usually led by members of the rescue team or other experienced members and ages range from around 10 to adult (all children 13 or under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
We welcome new members but please do contact us before you come along (see contacts page)
