Rev. Carrick will be speaking about his spiritual journey, having been raised in a Christian fundamentalist environment to now serving as a chaplain at a prep school with a very diverse student body.

Rev. Carrick is a graduate of Drexel University (1984, BS Computer Science) and Yale Divinity School (1987, Master of Divinity). He is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, having served churches in Pennsylvania for over 14 years including St. John's UMC, Ivyland; Salem UMC, Hazleton; and Conyngham UMC, Conyngham. He has served as the Executive Director of the Hazleton Enlarged Ministry, a cooperative ministry of 14 churches in the Greater Hazleton Area. In his last full-time appointment he served Conyngham UMC for 8 years. Rev. Carrick is in his 20th year at Wyoming Seminary and currently serves as Chaplain and teacher. Rev. Carrick presently teaches AP Computer Science, Algebra II Honors, and STEM courses in Electronics, Digital Circuits, and Physical Computing. In the past, he has taught Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra II, Bible, World Religions, Moral Philosophy, Post-Apocalyptic Literature, and STEM courses in Robotics, Submersibles, and Flight.
