Sunday Services

May we be reminded here of our highest aspirations and inspired to bring our gifts of love to all living beings.

May we know once again that we are not isolated but connected

in wonder and joy, to mystery and miracle – in the universe,

in this community, and in each other.

Worship services at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Catskills begin each Sunday morning at 10:30 with this unison affirmation.  We invite you to join us for worship that inspires our love and service, that reminds us of our connections, and that brings us wonder and joy.

Our services also offer the variety that is the spice of Unitarian Universalist congregational life.  Our minister, Rev. Erica Baron, offers worship three times a month, drawing from the breadth of spiritual traditions and teachings which nourish Unitarian Universalism.  Once a month, a member of the congregation or a guest speaker offers another perspective on the journey of faith.

Some of our recent sermon topics by our minister have been:

  • Confronting Difficult Stories in Scripture and in History
  • Our Unitarian Universalist Heritage and Vision Today
  • The Gifts of Humanism

Guest sermons have recently included:

  • Inspiration from Poetry, including Mary Oliver, Wendell Berry, and Rumi
  • Native American Prayer, presented by Barbara Three Crow
  • Hearing the Atheists Among Us, presented by congregation member Kirk Lamb

Families with children are warmly invited to join us for Sunday morning worship.  Youth Religious Exploration is also held at 10:30 am. Our children join us for the beginning of the service and then leave for their classrooms. Child care is available and there is supervised play in the summer. About once a month our children stay for an inter-generational service, so that families can enjoy the service together and deepen their ties to the congregation.  We also have a Restless Room where anyone who needs a little space to wiggle can have that space and still hear the service.

If you would like more information about worship at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Catskills, please contact our minister, Rev. Erica Baron at, or through our Congregation's office at 845-331-2884.

We hope to see you soon!
