Welcome to Utility Based Mobile Meter reading
The impact of mobile technology on social-economic development in developing countries is unparalleled to any other technology of our modern times as result this has created inefficiency and ineffectiveness in the carrying out the activities which has greatly hindered governments, Non governmental organizations, and private sector Companies from attaining their their goals. As a result implementing and developing mobile based applications using the mobile Technology which is readily available and affordable can change the trend and thus helping the different parties involved realize their goal and an example could be developing a Mobile meter Reading Application using the Mobile technology.
Under this Technology say for this case the Data collected in the field by the Data entrants employed to the Company and the Data is directly sent from the field to the Company system, billing is done and results sent to the data collector indicating the consumed units which can be still be printed to the customer for payment.
The mobile technology simply eliminates paper work data collection,Manual Data entry and also reduces on errors that can be accumulated right from the Data collection in the field to Entry of the data in the system, and as a result efficiency, productivity, effectiveness, and organization's goals can be realized and also reduce operational costs.
.
Requirements inflation:- requirements are ever changing as the project development goes on these are not static due to the need to meet the customer needs and thus there is always need to check and incorporate the changes.
Management risks:- these are basically as a result of management of the project. managemnt may be poor for either the whole project or a particular activity and this can lead to either delay in the whole project or failure of the whole project.
Schedulling risks:- these are aresult of poor scheduling of project activities which may delay the project, that is getting to know what activity can follow what and which one s can be carried out concurrently so as to get the project done on time.
