Job Summary:

Synopsys’ System-Level Solutions speed the creation and distribution of software models of embedded systems for early software development and verification.  These software models, called virtual prototypes, shorten the design cycle through early software development, improve product quality with early hardware/software integration and promote design collaboration via easy electronic distribution.

 

Job Description:

Based in San Diego, California, you will work closely with one of our leading customers to assist and support them in the development of virtual prototypes of their chips and devices.

You will develop high performance pre-silicon virtual platforms and models for use by software developers worldwide. This will involve the modeling of state of the art IP, peripherals and embedded platforms using Synopsys’ leading technology.

 

Qualifications Preferred: 

BS or MS in Computer Science or Electronics

 

Excellent programming skills. Practical usage of C and C++.  SystemC knowledge and previous transaction-level modeling experience are desirable

Some hardware knowledge or embedded systems experience, the ability to interpret device specifications.  Low-level embedded software skills, assembler knowledge is a bonus

Windows/Linux or embedded driver development knowledge is an advantage

Strong problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills are essential

Willingness to travel.  Initial intensive training will be provided at Synopsys' facility in Livingston, Scotland
