Febuary 2015 trial in Newton

FEBRUARY TRIAL RESULTS 2-7, 2-8 2015

As the darkness faded to light a small gallery of trucks and trailers started to gather on the hill. The four wheelers were warming up and excitement filled the air. It was to be an unseasonably beautiful weekend for a trial. Aside from the stiff wind on Saturday conditions couldn’t have been much more comfortable on a February weekend in northern Utah. Saturday was filled with many new faces. Some were running in NSTRA for their very first time and others were just checking it out. It is always fun to have new folks out to spend time at the trials with us. Thanks for coming out , and we hope to see you back very soon. It made for a very pleasant day in the breeze. The gallery was really a buzz as members welcomed in the new comers and got to know a little bit about them.

As the days braces started to shake out it was obvious Billie handled by Dan Felter would be taking “A” field. While Steve Witz’s Cherry would dominate “B” Field.In “A” Brent Underdahl With Tiger would come in Second and Brett Ure with Cash would finish the field in 3^rd. In “B” Field 2^nd place would be owned by Tiger and Brent Underdahl, while 3^rd place would be won by the always present Tic handled by Wonnacott.

On Sunday the sun would keep us warm all day. At the end of the day we were all excited to see Lance Neilson and R2 would get a very long awaited win inching ever so close to that CH mark in “A” Field. One more win and R2 joins the prestigious ranks of the regions Champions. Brett Ure and Cash would finish a very respectable weekend with another placement, this time 2^nd in “A”. Steve Witz and Cherry would get the 3^rd place. In “B” field Steve and Cherry would take the win, While Kate handled by Brent Underdahl would get 2^nd place 3^rd place would find Rich Lowe back in the winners shot with his young dog Chip‘s first placement.

Congratulations to the winners, Rich Lowe and Chip on their first placement and Steve Witz and Cherry. Cherry acquired enough points to earn her second Championship.

Thanks everyone for coming out! Get those dogs in now for the Roosevelt Rumble. Our trials have been filling up fast lately so if you want in It would wise to get in early or you might not get in at all.
