FAMILY
DEFINITION OF FAMILY :
"A family can be defined as a unit that provides love, support, and stability to its members. It is a family where each member feels valued, respected, and understood. An ideal family fosters a positive environment for growth, learning, and emotional well-being."
DEFINITION OF NSTRA FAMILY:
"The true meaning of family goes beyond blood relations and legal definitions. It encompasses a group of individuals who provide unconditional love, support, and a sense of belonging, regardless of how they're connected."
I feel like this last weekend was the perfect example of what we all want and hope for in our passions, hobbies, and interests. In our Utah Region of NSTRA we have created a NSTRA FAMILY and the relationships have gone far beyond just running our dogs.
Eva Burrows once said "The love of a family is one of life's greatest blessings"
I think I can speak for everyone when I say that this last weekend at our "Best of the West" trial showed what a great NSTRA Family we have here in Utah and beyond, this has not just become another hobby for most of us, this has become our type of people, our friends, and our lifelong family. Some of our greatest connections have come from this great group of people.
Nothing but unconditional love for each and everyone of you, thanks for making this group such a great family! ♥️🙏
The countless hours of preparation and behind the scenes work that has to take place to put on an event of this magnitude does not go unnoticed. We would like to take time to say a huge "THANK YOU" to everyone that helped in anyway. We had so many wonderful people step up and help. As we come away from such a successful trial I can't help but think of how proud we should all be to be apart of this Utah NSTRA Family.
We want to personally thank all of the following people for all they did to make this trial a success, they are as follows:
BIRDS
A huge THANK YOU to Bob Henson and Ginger Rogers for bringing the birds up from Arizona for us to use for the trial, thank you we appreciate it!

TRIAL HIGHLIGHTS
Mitch Johnson and his dog "RIP" had their first open placement in A field on Friday. Congrats it has been a long time coming.
Brent Jacobson and his dog "JET" had their first open placement on Sunday in C Field. Brent has been working hard to get here and it finally paid off, congrats!
Chad Dillree and his dog "Cooper" had their first open placement in B Field on Saturday. Way to go Chad, you guys are a great team!
Let's just go ahead and say that Katie Willis and her dog "CLANCY" or shall we say "FANCY CLANCY" came to play this weekend. They absolutely wiped the floor with us earning 9 OPEN points and 14 AMATEUR points during the weekend. They are quite the accomplished team and with constant scores in the 80's & 90's on finds and retrieves it is tough to compete with them. Katie works so hard with her dogs and it really shows. Way to go Katie and CLANCY, not sure we may ever see another NSTRA weekend like this one ever again.
Thank you again for all those that came out and supported our biggest trial of the year, it was a huge success and a lot of fun. Thanks to all those that traveled from out of state to support our region, we are grateful for each of you and the help it provides to our region. It is so exciting to see such great competition and great sportsmanship between everyone.
We have one more trial in May and then our regional elimination the first week of June. The season for our region is winding down, but it has been one of our most rewarding and successful seasons yet. Again we cannot say "THANK YOU" enough to all those that help in anyway, or just come out and support our region.
We truly have the greatest NSTRA family in the sport.
Looking forward already to seeing everyone at the next one!
Bye for now!
