In addition to exciting level-specific repertoire, we will be debuting Corno Rondo, composed by Steve Voorhees for the Utah Horn Club! This piece has a part for everyone, from beginner to advanced... even alphorns!
GENERAL: Dr. Joel Ockerman
ADVANCED: Wendy Koller
1:00 PM BREAKOUT SESSIONS
Dr. Ockerman is the Associate Professor of Horn at Utah State University. He is an expert on the natural horn and has performed on natural horn with groups including La Follia Austin Baroque and at the Oregon Bach Festival.
Be amazed as Dr. Ockerman's magic transforms your valved horn into a natural horn right before your eyes!
Mat Croft and Steve Voorhees will present and demonstrate the various valved horns in the "French Horn" family, including:
British Tenor (Alto) Horn, Wagner Tuba, Vienna Horn
Single, Triple, Descant Horns
Double Horn Wraps: Kruspe, Geyer, Knopf, Alexander 103
Learn to play the amazing Alphorn with Sonja Reynolds.
Sonja has been playing Alphorn for 10 years and is excited to share her love of all things Alphorn with you!

Our Keynote event will feature Nikolette LaBonte in a masterclass setting.
Learn as she coaches students from Utah State University and Snow College.
2:30 PM Session: Repair Clinic
NAPBIRT Certified repair technician Trevor Teuscher will teach us maintenance and repair tips and tools to keep our horns in excellent working condition.
Mr. Teuscher owns Teuscher Instrument Repair in North Logan, Utah. In addition to his training at Red Wing, he has earned his B.A. - Music Education; Utah State University and M.M. - Music Composition, Arts Technology Concentration; Illinois State University.
