Located just outside the city of Moab, this US National Park is located in the southeastern part of Utah. With the size of 76,000 acres Arches National Park is a relatively small national park, where the beautiful La Sal Mountains providing a nice backdrop to it.
The excellent layout of the park with its 41 mile paved road makes it easy to approach each of the major arches and sandstone formations. You can just park your car and take an easy short walk to be up and next to the beautiful formations. However if you are not able or do not like to walk, you still can see the arches from your car in each parking lot.
Highlights include Balanced Rock, the Delicate Arch (best captured in the late afternoon), the spectacularly elongated Landscape Arch, and popular, twice-daily ranger-led trips into the Fiery Furnace.
