This site provides free, downloadable Android Apps created by University of San Francisco students and instructors. To download apps and source code, click on the links below, or search for an app in the box above. The apps were all built using Google's App Inventor and most are open-source.
[NOTE: Some of the apps on this site were built with an earlier version of app inventor. You can download them on your phone using the provided barcodes, but you will not be able to upload the source code you find here (any zip files). You can use the snapshots of blocks to rebuild the apps described).

DROIDmuni, Henry Scholz and Max Sigfried
DROIDmuni is a NextMuni application for the Android Mobile OS. After selecting from one of Muni's transit lines and choosing a direction and particular stop, the application will display the lines next arrival times. Once the user has retrieved the desired arrival times, they are able to set up to four favorites which are saved and stored based on their unique e-mail and retrieved at the application launch. Using the DroidMuni remind feature or NextMuni's SMS notifications, the user may also set a reminder to be notified when a bus is a specified number of minutes away.

ParkIt allows users to locate their car on their Android phone using our app and GoogleMaps. After clicking the "Park It" button, it stores your car's location until the "Find It" Button is clicked. The "Find It" button displays your current location, and your car's location using latitude and longitude. When the user clicks on "Show On Map", GoogleMaps is activated, and the route to your car from your current location is displayed.

No Text While Driving, Daniel Finnegan
An app the user turns on when he or she is going to start driving, and the phone will automatically respond to any text messge recieved with another text message saying, “Hey, I’m driving right now, so I can’t text, but give a call on my hands free instead. Thanks." This app will help people avoid the dangers and / or illegalities of texting while driving.

Quiz Me!, Henry Scholz and Max Sigfried
Quiz Me! is an easy to use custom quiz application. It allows the user to input multiple questions and answers with the click of a button and have them saved to an external database. Once the user has finished adding questions, the quiz can be taken and the user will receive a score and time taken.
