What is SHARE?

As a part of the American Pharmacy Student Alliance (APSA), Students Helping And Receiving Education is a program that offers opportunities for USC student pharmacists to volunteer at Federally Qualified Health Centers for underserved populations located around Los Angeles: three 340b safety-net QueensCare Family Clinics and the Los Angeles Christian Health Center (LACHC). There are three major components to the program:

(1) a year-round ambulatory care clinic student volunteer program
(2) medication reconciliation done by student pharmacists (SC MedWatch)
(3) a series of speaker events covering topics related to safety-net clinics and ambulatory care pharmacy

Interested student pharmacists are required to receive formal training from the project directors and faculty advisors. Training emphasizes cultural competence and patient counseling skills.

The SHARE program is only available to USC School of Pharmacy students. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at
