Table tennis, also known as ping pong, is a game played with two or four players using paddles to hit a lightweight, hollow ball back and forth over a net set up on a wide gaming table. International rules exist to govern the game. RecordSetter records involve table tennis balls, rackets or both.
The following general criteria apply to all RecordSetter record attempts involving table tennis:
- rackets must be of a standard size and shape, made of a rigid material
- balls must be standard 40 millimeter diameter balls weighing 2.7 grams
