Help Wanted - The 2nd annual
Feast of the Falls
will be back on Sunday June 22. This is a party for Upper Falls put on
by the people of Upper Falls and we need all of you to make it happen.
There's a tremendous amount of help we need and a tremendous amount of
fun to be had doing it.
Please consider helping out in one of these roles. All but the Runners
can also be Feast Guests and have dinner at the big table:
Audio Expert - We are in immediate need of some one who
can help us out with audio equipment. Last year the audio system was a
problem and this year we're going to get it right. Please contact us
immediately if you think you have some useful audio expertise or know
someone who does.
Afternoon Set Up - We'll need a big team of people on
the afternoon of the event to create the Feast, starting at about 1 PM -
everything from setting up tables, to decorating trees, to stringing
cables, to hauling boxes ...
Check-In Crew - I think most of last year's team will
be back but we'll probably need a few more. The job is to welcome
guests on the bridge,check them in, assign them to their table, and
answer questions, etc. Arrive at 4:30 PM to greet guests starting at
5PM
Runners - this is a crucial role in getting all that
food to all those people. You'll be the link between the kitchen and
the table side servers. It's a fairly physical job, and you'll be
working with and eating with the VIP Servers and kitchen crew once the
guests have all been served. Arrive at 4:30 PM.
Tear Down - At the end of the night everything's got to
be taken apart and hauled off. The more help we get with that, the
better. With enough people, this can be quick and easy, without them,
it's a long end to the night.

What makes the Feast of the Falls such a spectacular event is that it is
the entire neighborhood throwing itself a huge party. So sign up as a
volunteer and be both one of the hosts AND one of the guests.
