    Biography

I get my PhD degree in Distributed Algorithms from Polytechnic University of Madrid. My PhD dissertation is Agreement Abstractions in Anonymous and Homonymous Distributed System Prone to Failures that co-directed by Professor Ernesto Jiménez Merino and Professor Sergio Arévalo Viñuales.

I got my master degree of engineering from the School of Reliability and System Engineering, Beihang University (previously known as Beijing University of Aeronauticas and Astronautics), and dual bachelor degrees from the University of Jinan (one engineering degree, another one is the management degree).

    Research Experience

My research focuses on the fundamental problems of distributed computing (i.e., design coordination and agreement distributed algorithms: consensus, broadcast, failure detector, etc.). Besides this, I also work in Big data, data mining/analysis and reliability analysis.

Brief introduction:

• Design distributed algorithms focuses on the fundamental problems of distributed computing. I design and prove coordination and agreement algorithms in anonymous and homonymous distributed systems.  A distributed system is eponymous if each process has a unique identifier; otherwise, it is homonymous (i.e., some processes share an identical identifier) or anonymous (i.e, all processes have no identifier or share an identical identifier). The difficulty of design distributed algorithms in homonymous (anonymous) distributed system lies in how to break the symmetry caused by the lack of unique identifier.

• Telemetry data analysis aims to predict the possible failure model/time and the remaining life of small satellite helping to make maintenance decisions to avoid severe fault or halting. I first use wavelet method to clean the raw data, and then build Auto-Regressive–Moving-Average model (ARMA), Modified Probabilistic/Wavelet Neural Network model separately to forecast the trend of each monitor parameter, and finally, I develop a multi streams fusion decision-making model to output the integrated valuable information to the user.

• Reliability data analysis targets to evaluate the condition of transformer and predict the potential failure model and its occurrence time. Firstly, I calculate the Probability Density Function (PDF) of each parameter by analyzing the statistic data, and then a reliability model is built based on these parameters together with the coefficients among these. Finally, a maintenance decision-making model is proposed combining both reliability and economy factors.
