Welcome!

        To keep up with all Wildcat Running Club related information, make sure to follow the Wildcat Running Club Facebook Page.

        The Wildcat Running Club is comprised of University of Arizona undergrads, graduate students,and non-students that share an interest in running. The goal of our club is to promote the health and fitness among our members through the art of running. We accept runners of all speeds and experience. We are a large group so no matter your ability, you will likely have someone to run with. The schedule for our workouts will be posted on a weekly basis on the Facebook page. You know your ability better than we do, so if you want to run more or less than what we have planned for the day, that is up to you. We do not hold tryouts or have mandatory requirements for attending practice. If you want a group of people to run with in local 5k’s, 10k’s, and Half or Full Marathons, come check us out!

        For the first two weeks of the spring semester we are going to run at 5:00pm Monday through Thursday. On the third week of school we will begin running with the Workout Group again at 6:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Workout Group (WOG) is a group of local runners who host speed-oriented workouts. We are coordinating with WOG to schedule workouts that will have you at peak performance before the semester is through. By paying dues for the Wildcat Running Club, you will gain access to all workouts with WOG. Our first run of the semester will be on the Wednesday 1/11, the first day of classes.

        On February 26th, the Wildcat Running Club is hosting the Sprint Into Spring 5K. All of the money received will go towards the Autism Society of Southern Arizona. Use the code WRC2017 to get a $5 discount, and make sure to sign up before Feb. 15th because the registration price will increase. The running club hosts this race annually and we would like this to be our most successful year yet. The course is stroller, wheelchair and pet-friendly, so runners/walkers of all ability are welcome to join. Please spread the word about the race to your family and friends if you think they would like to join us!

        On Sunday mornings we will host trail runs and hikes in the local parks around Tucson. In the past, we have visited places like Mt. Lemmon, Saguaro National Park, Sabino Canyon, Ventana Canyon, 7 Falls, Peppersaus Caves, and more! We will carpool at 9:00am in the parking lot behind the Rec center and we will typically be back around noon.

        All of the necessary forms to join can be found in the Resources tab. Dues must be accompanied by forms before they can be accepted. We accept new runners throughout the year. You do not have to worry about paying and turning in forms before you run with us. Come join us for a run and see how you like it!
