Welcome to the Web Site of University Women-Bowling Green State University
Formally, the objectives of the University Women shall be to encourage a friendly and cooperative spirit within its diversified membership and to foster a continuing interest in the University.
Informally, we provide social fellowship and fun for our members, primarily through various interest groups. New members are welcome at any time. The entire group will meet several times throughout the year so plan to join the whole group for those big parties. Check out the interest groups - something for everyone - and get involved!
A Message From the President...
Welcome to the 2013-2014 University Women year. The executive board has met and planned the year with the objectives of the organization in mind. Through our various interests groups and activities we hope to encourage a friendly and cooperative spirit among our members, the university and our community.
We officially begin our year with the annual fall potluck brunch. It will be held on August 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1163 North Main Street Bowling Green. President of the university, Dr. Mary Ellen Mazey, will speak on "What's New this Year at BGSU." We will also be entertained by the "Gingersnaps," a band and vocal group led by Ginger Manley. In addition we will meet and hear a few words from our scholarship recipient. Each member is asked to bring a dish that serves eight. Coffee and tea will be provided by Sandy Wicks and Grounds for Though. As in the past, there will be a raffle to benefit the scholarship fund. Please plan to attend this fun event and invite a guest to join us and introduce them to our
organization We will be participating in Elder Beerman days again this year. Mary Lou Riday will coordinate this event. Watch you e-mail for more information.
Barb Sanchez will be hosting the Christmas party again this year.
The date has not been set at this time. If you do not have an e-mail address you can receive a hard copy of information by giving Jen Baker selfaddressed stamped envelopes. Also remember to visit our University Women Web page http://site.google.com/site/universitywomenbg/. and
