August Membership Specials

posted Aug 4, 2018, 7:05 AM by Ken Irvine

It is a HOT summer.  There is still time to join the “Rutgers” pool.

The University Swimming Association, Inc. (USAI) swim club is a non-profit membership group that operates a large outdoor pool, baby pool, and children’s swim team. It is located on the Busch Campus near the Visitor’s Center and the Rutgers Football complex and has been in continuous operation since 1962, when it was founded to provide recreation for Rutgers faculty and administrators.

You are eligible to join the pool if you are full time faculty or staff at Rutgers, or a graduate of the university.  Membership is also open to Rutgers Theological Seminary.

USAI understands that the first year expenses of the bond and fee can sometimes be a financial challenge.  USAI pool invites you to consider some special deals as the summer is in full swing, and there is still time to join us through Labor Day.  AND it is still HOT.

Click on the "Membership" Link or email us at usai.ru@gmail.com for more information.

1)    JOIN FOR AUGUST AND GET A JUMP ON NEXT YEAR.

If you join now, we will pro-rate the annual membership fee, so you will pay less than half the cost of a regular membership, while also paying one time costs of initiation fee and refundable bond.

2)   JOIN FOR 2019, AND SWIM FOR FREE THIS AUGUST.

If you have hesitated to join this summer or were not aware of the pool, this is a way to commit to a fun pool community and have no bill next summer. We will allow you to pay your membership fee for next year, at this year's rates, together with refundable bond and initiation fee, and swim for the remainder of this year for at no additional charge.

Dear USAI members,

We are happy to let you know that the main pool and pool grounds will be opening at 1 pm today, and regularly scheduled events, including swim team practices, will occur as scheduled.

Unfortunately our baby pool still needs some repairs and will not be available yet. A message will be sent out when it is officially open.

We hope you will be able to come by soon and enjoy the pool, and we apologize for the delay in getting it open.
