| "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience." - Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
The Universalus Inter-Spiritual community honors all paths and spiritual traditions. These traditions include the mystical teachings of Jesus, , Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Judaism, Earth Centered religions, and others. We focus on oneness with all life, meditation, and unconditional love for ourselves and all other sentient beings both human and non-human.
Although we are physically located in Baltimore, Maryland USA, you can communicate us as a Spiritual Affiliate anywhere in the world! You don't have to live in a monastery, convent or temple to be a modern spiritual contemplative!
The Universalus Inter-Spiritual Community , a radically inclusive community, was founded to 1. Provide a supportive, accepting, and affirming environment for individuals who are committed to a universal approach to spirituality, encompassing all faiths and all traditions, and who wish to express their spirituality in an interfaith tradition without dogma. 2. Provide service and good works to the community-at-large, especially those who are disenfranchised and marginalized. 3. Promote the healing of the human experience in which each person may realize his or her unique wholeness. The Universalus Community dedicates itself to compassion for all sentient beings, human and non-human. Because we believe that we are all children of the same Universe, we support one another on our individual spiritual journeys and show the reality of universal love and compassion to all beings.
All are welcome to join us in our commitment.

Founder and Interspiritual Minister
| You have the support of others who are sharing this path with you. In this connection, you are able to generate a field of loving compassion that unifies us as human beings. We affirm simplicity of life and our role as earthen vessels of Awareness.
1. Meditation We accomplish a sense of loving compassion through inner awareness by meditative practices. We strongly suggest Zazen practice or Insight meditation daily but this is not a requirement of any kind. 2. Collective meditation and reflection We come together for shared meditation and reflection iPeriods of communal meditation will be scheduled and everyone is invited to join us. www.BaltimoreInsightMeditation.com 3. Awareness of, and respect for, the beliefs and rituals of all faith paths. 4. Willingness to agree to group consciousness Our belief is that the “Universal Wisdom” instructs us through group consciousness. We agree to discuss together our efforts and activities as a Community. 5. Commitment to honesty and integrity We agree to always be honest with ourselves and each other, and to act with integrity in all of our actions. 6. Commitment to playfulness, humor and joyfulness We recognize and accept our imperfections and those of others, and also realize at a deeper level we are children of the Universe and are here to enjoy the world, even in the midst of our own pain and chaos, and that pain that is evident in the world at large. We strive for lightness and live in the moment with Joy. Click on the candle below to light a candle for your intentions. Learn About Centering Prayer
Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience the Spirit's presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself.
