United In Excellence seeks to support African-American students who have the desire to pursue a career in nursing.
One (1) $500 scholarship is for a JTHS Central graduate who is pursuing a degree in nursing.
AWARD AMOUNT. One (1), $500.00 R.E. Abdullah Scholarship to students at JTHS Central campus. Awardees will also receive ongoing support from our national network of over fifty UIE alumni, donors and community members. These benefits include mentorship and networking opportunities, care packages, a trunk party, and ongoing support from United In Excellence.

United In Excellence seeks to support students who have the desire to major in an education-related field. The Brass Family Education Scholarship will continue the Brass family legacy of education and contributions of Joliet Township High School to the Brass Family.
One (1) $500 scholarship is for any JTHS graduate who is pursuing a degree in an education-related field.
One (1) $500 scholarship is offered to a student of color pursuing a degree in an education-related field. This scholarship is offered in alignment with the District’s Strategic Plan (Action Plan 6.5), stating that "JTHS will implement a comprehensive program for students of color which promotes teaching as a vital and noble profession that provides experiences, supports and benefits to encourage students to become educators in District #204."
AWARD AMOUNT. Two (2), $500.00 Brass Scholarships to students at Joliet Township High Schools, District #204. Awards will be competitive across the entire district. Awardees will also receive ongoing support from our national network of over fifty UIE alumni, donors and community members. These benefits include mentorship and networking opportunities, care packages, a trunk party, and ongoing support from United In Excellence.
United In Excellence seeks to support students who have demonstrated leadership in their school and the community through a scholarship named after long-standing community leaders, Warren C. & Rita H. Dorris. We recognize and appreciate their continued efforts to serve and support the people of Joliet. In addition to their successful careers in business and banking, Warren and Rita have been committed to being change-makers through politics, community organizing, faith-based initiatives, and mentorship.
AWARD AMOUNT. One (1), $1,000.00 Dorris Scholarship to a student at Joliet Township High Schools, District #204. The awardee will also receive ongoing support from our national network of over fifty UIE alumni, donors and community members. These benefits include mentorship and networking opportunities, care packages, a trunk party, and ongoing support from United In Excellence.
United In Excellence seeks to support students of color who are pursuing fine and performing arts programs in postsecondary institutions. This scholarship will foster creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship for students who are largely underrepresented in fine and performing arts programs at colleges and universities across the nation. Further, we believe that continued support from our network of alumni will propel our scholars to become creative leaders and executives in the arts.
AWARD AMOUNT. Two (2), $500.00 Fine & Performing Arts Scholarships to students at Joliet Township High Schools, District #204. One student will receive the award at JTHS Central Campus and another at JTHS West Campus. Awardees will also receive ongoing support from our national network of over fifty UIE alumni, donors and community members. These benefits include mentorship and networking opportunities, care packages, a trunk party, and ongoing support from United In Excellence.
