Biography

Sung-Phil is an assistant professor at the School of Design and Human Engineering, Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). His major research focuses on developing a brain-computer interface (BCI) in humans. Before joining in UNIST, he worked as an assistant professor (research) at Korea University from 2009 to 2013, conducting several research projects related to BCIs. Dr. Kim earned his Ph.D and M.S. degrees from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida in 2005, working in the Computational NeuroEngineering Laboratory supervised by Dr. Jose C. Principe. Then, he worked in the neural interface research team as a postdoctoral researcher at Brown University for the development of intracortical BCIs in humans with tetraplegia. Dr. Kim received the B.S. degree from the Department of Nuclear Engineering at Seoul National University in 1994.

Biography
Jae-Hwan received the B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering at Chungbuk University in 2001. He worked for ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) from 2001 to 2006 and KIOM (Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine) from 2006 to 2009. He entered the Ph.D. program in Brain and Cognitive Engineering at Korea University in 2010.

Yoon Gi Chung

Biography

Yoon Gi entered the Ph.D program in Brain and Cognitive Engineering at Korea University in Spring 2010. He received M.S. degree in School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems at Drexel University, Philadelphia in 2007. He was working in the Biomedical Optics Research laboratory for biomarker detection and prediction of rejection severity in human cardiac transplantation with an optical modality, Raman spectroscopy and multivariate statistical analysis in collaboration with Drexel University College of Medicine. He received B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering and Life Science at Sogang University, Seoul, Korea Rep. in 2003.

Biography

Min-Ki entered the Ph.D program in Brain and Cognitive Engineering at Korea University in Spring 2011. He received M.S. degree in School of Electrical Engineering at Korea University, Seoul in 2011. He was working in the Intelligent System Research Laboratory for robot control and soft computing algorithm. He received B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering at Wonkwang University, Iksan, Korea, in 2009.

Biography

Wanjoo entered the Ph.D program in Brain and Cognitive Engineering at Korea University in Spring 2011. He received his B.S. in electronics engineering from the Korea Aerospace University, Korea, in 2006, and M.S. in electronics engineering from Sogang University, Korea, in 2008. Since 2008, he has been a research scientist at the Centor for Bionics of the Korea Institute of Science and Technology. My research interests include Haptics, Brain Computer Interface (BCI) and Rehabilitation.

Biography

Da-Yoon Kang worked at IDEA lab from Jan. to Jun. 2012 as a research intern. She was a UROP student at HKUST in July 2012. During Jan. - Apr. 2013, Da-Yoon was working as a LG Display Official Blog Undergraduate Student Manager. She was also a research assistant at Ergonomics and Applied Biomechanics Lab during May-Jun. 2013.
