Below is more information about this year's Give Kids A Smile® (GKASevent. If you have questions that are not answered here, please contact us!

When you should get here
Registration begins at 8:30 AM and rolling appointments start at 9 AM, on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors will open a little bit before registration begins, and be sure to line up early, as the first 100 children will receive free dental care.

Where to go once you arrive
Inside the dental school, volunteers will direct you to the first floor lobby where your place in line will be recorded. Small groups of people will then be brought up to information desk on the second floor to help make the registration process run smoothly.

What you should bring
Come prepared to fill out a health history questionnaire for your child. Also, bring something to keep you and your child entertained while you wait.

Other Information
While you wait volunteers will be floating around giving oral hygiene tips and there will be a coloring contest too! While one of the goals of GKAS is to provide free dental care to uninsured kids ages 5-14, another goal is to establish a permanent dental home for these children to receive regular dental care. If your child does not have a dentist already, the Children's Clinic at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry could be your child's dental home.
