Reading Strategy

When you read a text book assignment, it is helpful to have a plan rather than just to begin reading with the first word of the first sentence, finish with the last word of the last sentence, and hope you will remember what was between them.

Efficient readers prepare to read, read carefully, and then assess themselves and make connections for comprehension.  In other words, they read and study at the same time.

The following presentation concerns a reading strategy that will allow you to read and monitor your comprehension.
