Land Drone Team Two

The purpose of this UMaine senior capstone project is to design and build a vehicle smaller than a snowmobile that runs on an average sized chainsaw engine.  This vehicle will have the ability to navigate through northern Maine, where it will patrol the Canadian boarder to different GPS coordinates, collecting both audio and visual data.  The vehicle will have the ability to go over rocky areas, dense forests, and forge across slow moving water.  It’s pilot will be a small computer chip that receives information about its surroundings from an array of sensors.

*This website provides a space for posting finished MEE 487/488 assignments and other documents related to the project’s development. In addition, the website will provide the viewer a window into our design process and the results of the project. Therefore, the site is “in progress,” and new information about the project will be added as it becomes available.
