The goal of the 2015 senior design project is to design and fabricate a GPS controlled autonomous land drone that will be used to patrol the U.S.-Canadian border. This design must be able to traverse various terrains including water, mud, ice, and obstacles. The drone will be taking constant audio and video surveillance to detect gunshots in unauthorized territory. The basic design criteria for the project is to use a gasoline motor as the primary power source while using an Arduino microprocessor to control the drone.
