Project Dewatering is a group of University of Maine mechanical engineering students that is tasked with the need for algae in concentrated forms past that of max growth concentration. The concentrations must be obtained while keeping the algae cells viable. This project is focused on two different concentrations of algae for two different purposes. The first being a high concentration solution suitable for feeding oyster hatcheries, the second being an even higher concentration with minimal water content so it can be stored economically with refrigeration.
