This page records any changes made to ULTRASPEC on the 2.4m Thai National Telescope. Please record here any software updates, bug fixes, hardware changes, etc. Please make sure that you make NARIT* and the rest of the ULTRASPEC team* aware of any changes you make PRIOR to making them. If you have to make changes whilst the instrument is in use on the telescope, please ensure that you thoroughly test them well before observations begin on a particular night and that you inform the observers on that night. Issues highlighted in blue below are those we regard as particularly significant.

DRPC CPU heatsink/fan reseated	29/09/2014	The heatsink and fan on the CPU of the ULTRASPEC data reduction PC in the control room has been reseated, with new thermal compound applied. The PC still seems to be running warm, but we suspect this is ok. (VSD)
New filter available	29/09/2014	Replacement CIII/NIII+HeII filter (#31 in the filter database) put in ULTRASPEC filter box in the dome. The original (#23) was cracked. (VSD)
Hardware change: filter wheel	29/09/2014	The 5 SDSS+KG5 filters have been swapped from their original wheel to the spare wheel (that contained some test apertures installed by Christophe), as this spare wheel seems to run more smoothly in the wheel housing. The o-ring was also replaced around the original wheel. A washer has also been added to the bolt on the filter wheel door so that the door can now be fully tightened without worrying about compressing the wheel too much and causing it to fail. The grub screws securing the filter wheel housing to ULTRASPEC have also been moved so that they can now be fully tightened without compressing the gap in the filter wheel housing, thereby causing the wheel to grind. All of the changes, in conjunction with the firmware change detailed below, have hopefully made the filter wheel reliable now. (VSD)
