Don’t Forget

Valor will be held on Memorial Day weekend this year. Have you volunteered to sit a gate shift, serve feast, setup, cleanup, etc. yet? We thank you in advance for your part in continuing to host the oldest and longest-running event in Calontir’s rich history, and home to one of the preeminent two-handed sword tournaments in the Known World!

Volunteer sign up sheets are online here -

We also need your help. We would like to present Their Majesties Calontir and Ansteorra with a gift of largess during court. We are asking for our craftsmen and artisans (that’s you!) to donate small items that would be appropriate as gifts and tokens of thanks to be received from the Crown. If you have never made largess before and have questions about what to make or donate please let us know.

Here is the link for signing up to volunteer during Vatavia’s Gate shift at Lilies this year: We are currently confirmed for sitting 10:00am-4:00pm on the first Sunday. If there are enough interested volunteers we would like to stretch that out a bit further. (We could use one more volunteer from 4pm-6pm.) Thank you for volunteering!

The Barony will provide a Baronial Luncheon again at Lilies War, this year it will be on Wednesday of the War during Lady Vashti’s Arts and Sciences Happy Hour at Lilies War on Wednesday, 11am-noonish. We will be bringing an assortment of nibbly bits and goodies, as well as our pop-up shadefly (if needed) to provide shade. Please let us know if you are able to help with setup or serving, and what contributions you would like to bring or send along. Thank you for helping cool things happen at War!!!

There are many good folks in this Barony and Kingdom who are worthy of recognition. Please send award recommendations for all the wonderful stuff you saw folks do out in the Kingdom, or here at home. Do it now!
