SCA Happenings in Vatavia - Week of April 8, 2019

posted Apr 8, 2019, 6:53 AM by Uldin & Sung

Good morning Vatavia!

Reminder! As announced during Court at Coronation, Baron Uldin and I have asked to be released from service as Baron and Baroness of Vatavia. TRM Donngal & Catalina have graciously accepted our request. Their Royal Majesties invite commentary on the following applicants for the next Baron and Baroness of Vatavia:

Lord Robert Steven MacLaren and Lady Elizabeth Ann Draper
HL Lawrence Tallefer the Leech (Known as Doc) and Mistress Genevieve de Chambery
HL William Douglas and HL Lucia de Vatavia

Interviews will be conducted at Crown Tourney, so plan accordingly.

Please e-mail all commentary to

What this means is that each us, individually, must reflect on how we believe the Barony is doing well right now, and it what ways could we be doing better. (*There are always things we could be doing better.*)

What would you like to see for the future of our Barony?

Keeping this in mind, when Their Majesties announce who has submitted letters for Baronage and start accepting letters, it is each of our responsibility to state the strengths of each of the candidates and which set you believe will best serve the needs of the Barony for the next few years.

Be honest, respectful, do not exaggerate. Remember these are your words to Your Crown, and are signed as such. Also, please remember that ultimately the decision for our next Baronage rests solely with the Crown. Our words do not serve as a vote, they serve as learned and investigative knowledge that Their Majesties may not otherwise have at hand when deliberating Their decision.

It’s been a pleasure Vatavia. Thank you.
