Evening Vatavia!

Congratulations to the Shire of Moonstone for hosting a successful first event, and thank you for hosting RUSH. We had a wonderful time! Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help teach, and to those who took the opportunity to venture forth and learn.

Tuesday, April 3rd
Musica Vatavia
7:30pm- , Lord Niall Mac a’Ghobhainn’s home
Join Musica Vatavia! Anyone with at least of modicum of musical experience is encouraged to join this growing and dynamic group. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings. Please contact Lord Niall (cdmayer@cox.net) for more information.

Wednesday, April 4th
Officer’s Meeting
7:00pm-9:00pm, Andover Estates Storm Shelter, 145 Thomas Ln, Andover, KS 67002

Meeting is open to all. If you are interested in management of the Barony, running an event or submitting a bid, or would like to have your voice heard on a particular issue, please attend.

We will be discussing possible alternative sites for Officer’s, Arts and Sciences, and possibly Populace. No final decisions have been made as of yet.

Don’t Forget

Spring Ren Faire is April 21st & 22nd, 2018. This is our largest demo and fundraiser. Armored Combat and Cut & Thrust demonstrations will be held throughout the day. Arts & Sciences displays and demonstrations will be held. Everyone is encouraged to bring something to display or help out. Alongside Armored Combat and Cut & Thrust demos, we will be running pop booths for fundraising.

Our annual Champions event will be held on April 28th at OJ Watson Park. The theme for Arts & Sciences is a Dragonfly in any Medium. The theme for Bardic is Anything but Viking. Event page: https://sites.google.com/site/uldin4sung/champions.

We are currently confirmed for sitting 10:00am-4:00pm on the first Sunday. If there are enough interested volunteers we would like to stretch that out a bit further. Thank you for volunteering!

The Barony will provide a Baronial Luncheon again at Lilies War, this year it will be on Wednesday of the War during Lady Vashti’s Arts and Sciences Happy Hour at Lilies War on Wednesday, 11am-noonish. We will be bringing an assortment of nibbly bits and goodies, as well as our pop-up shadefly (if needed) to provide shade. Please let us know if you are able to help with setup or serving, and what contributions you would like to bring or send along. Thank you for helping cool things happen at War!!!

There are many good folks in this Barony and Kingdom who are worthy of recognition. Please send award recommendations for all the wonderful stuff you saw folks do out in the Kingdom, or here at home. Do it now!
