Lancs B winners of NSSA SH Team Racing 2019
Fairlop Outdoor Education Centre in East London hosted the National School Sailing Association Singlehanded Team Racing over the weekend 5/6th October.
Teams had 11 rounds under a Swiss league system before moving to semis which saw Derbyshire A take on  Watford and Lancashire B against Derbyshire B. Both semis went to three races, thanks to an OCS by Lancs, and it was an OCS in the third race which did for Derbyshire B.

This produced a final between Watford and Lancashire B which Lancashire B won with two straight wins. The Peti-final between Derbyshire A & B was a hard fought affair requiring three races but the A team did win eventually.

The Lancashire Plate for most improved team over the weekend went to Clifton College and Derbyshire C won the Under 16 and Under 12 Trophies. The prizes were presented by Rod Carr former RYA Chief Executive.

Meanwhile, on the Saturday Oxford were hosting the BSDRA Midland Champs. The twenty teams sailed an HLS League, which at the end of the day saw three teams on 100% wins. Sevenoaks Red, RGS Guilford 1 and Winchester had to be separated by points with them finishing in that order. We will see how they do next weekend at the same venue when it host the ET Team Racing Champs.
