RYA ET Youth and Junior Team Racing +

Congratulations to Rutland Green and RSTera Prodigy respective winners of the RYA Youth and Junior Team Racing Championships.

The Youth event sailed as three boat teams in Fireflies saw 168 races sailed with RGS,  Winchester, Rutland Green and WOSC A making it throught to the Semis. Winchester and Rutland Green made it through to the Finals with 2:0 wins. In the Peti-Final WOSC A beat RGS 2:0 to finish third while Rutland Green also went 2:0 over Winchester to win the Youths.

In the Junior competition sailed as two boat teams in Fevas 201 races saw Chew, Rutland Gold, Prodigy and RHS through to the Semis which both went 2:0 to produce a sudden death Peti and Final. In the Peti Final Rutland Gold beat RHS to take third place while Prodigy beat Rutland Gold to win the Junior

This weekend also saw the final chance to qualify for the National Match Racing Finals. Qualifier 2 held at Queen Mary SC was won by Ted Blowers, and it was Josh Adams who took the last place available in the Finals to be held in November.

Meanwhile in Cowes the Arrow Trophy was being sailed from the Royal London YC. Three fleet races were sailed ont he Saturday in light winds which qualified the top four teams to go through to the Match Racing. Unfortunately strong winds saw a truncated programme on Sunday with sudden death matches and no fleet racing. Overall winners were Winchester.
