After 4 days of intense racing at the Optimist European Team Racing Championships, hosted by the Associazione Vela Lago di Ledro, ITA, it was Team Sweden who took the Championship.

16 Teams from across Europe battled it out over 4 days with Sweden winning the prize of 1st overall winning gold and the Cassa Rulale di Ledro Trophy. Team Turkey who were tied in wins after Stage 2 with Team Sweden with 5 each finished in second. Team Germany beat out Team Spain for third and fourth overall. This was the first year that teams consisted of 4 team members with 2 boys and 2 girls competing for each country.

The final results are: 1st Sweden, 2nd Turkey 3rd Germany 4 Spain, 5 Italy, 6 Poland, 7 Israel, 8 France, 9 Netherlands, 10 Greece, 11 Norway, 12 Slovenia, 13 Finland, 14 Denmark 15 Russia 16 Switzerland.
