Our Mission

The Maimonides Fellowship at the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech provides educational and experiential programming for Jewish students of all backgrounds and affiliations. Maimonides creates an inviting atmosphere where students with little or no Jewish education are welcomed and encouraged to enjoy, understand, question and experience their rich Jewish heritage. Maimonides, together with other Jewish organizations on campus, works to create a community within which all Jewish students can relax, enjoy themselves, and have a great time, while simultaneously connecting to the wisdom and beauty that is their Jewish birthright.

With an array of educational and social programs both on and off campus, Maimonides offers opportunities for everyone. Students enjoy our Shabbat experiences, small group study sessions, the B.A.R. (book-a-rabbi) initiative, and community volunteering events. Maimonides offers exciting, meaningful trips to Israel, Poland, and New York, as well as many local destinations. The Maimonides Leaders Fellowship, one of over 100 such programs around the country, is a stipend-based Fellowship affording students a comprehensive semester of Jewish classes, discussion, field trips and social networking. We also offer a rich and varied schedule including: themed Shabbat dinners, weekend retreats, Challah baking, holiday parties and much more.

Maimonides provides a Judaism that is relevant and empowering, sophisticated and energized. Come be a part of it!
