My name is Tong Liu. I'm currently working as a Principal Data & Applied Science Manager at Microsoft. The aim of this site is to tell you a little bit about me and to showcase my academic/professional work/projects.
After graduating from Tsinghua University (Top 1 engineering school in China) with a B.S. and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering, I attended University of Illinois for Ph.D. study on Agricultural & Biological Engineering and Computational Science & Engineering. I have very cross-disciplinary experience and hands-on skills, spanning the range of AI / machine learning / deep learning, big data analytics, Agent-Based Modeling, Computer Simulation, GPS Tracking, Complex System Analysis and Modeling, Spatial / Time Series Data Mining, etc.
