I hold a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My research spans a broad set of topics, including asset pricing, return predictability, innovation, corporate finance, corporate sustainability, machine learning, and gender discrimination. 

My work has been published in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Review of Finance, and Journal of Accounting Research. In addition, I have published interdisciplinary research in top-tier engineering journals, including the Journal of Power Sources and the Journal of Fuel Cell Science and Technology

My solo-authored paper, "Product Market Competition, R&D Investment and Stock Returns", was published in the Journal of Financial Economics, was awarded the Trefftzs Award for the best student paper, the SAC Capital for the PhD Candidate Award for Outstanding Research at Western Finance Association meetings (WFA), and the Research Output Prize by HKU.
