WE CAN ONLY SEE A LIMITED NUMBER OF

CUSTOMERS PER EVENING.

The number of customers we can see per evening is based on the number of students we have volunteering per evening. Being here is not a grading requirement for our students and they are giving up their time away from other activities (they are involved in Band, Choir, Track, Baseball, JROTC, paying jobs, etc.) to serve the community.

A Thank You Goes A Long Way.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR TAX CUSTOMERS:

Some refunds must be held until February 15.

According to a new tax law change, the IRS cannot issue refunds before February 15 for tax returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit.

This applies to the entire refund, even the portion not associated with these credits.

The IRS will begin to release EITC/ACTC refunds starting February 15.

However, the IRS cautions taxpayers that these refunds likely won’t arrive in bank accounts or on debit cards until the week of February 27.

Why Use Us!

For the past twelve years the students of the Academy of Business and Finance have been providing free tax services to our community.  Not only do the students gain real-world experience from this program, but they have also gained the satisfaction of helping and giving back to their community.  Throughout these years we have continued to see our clients come back due to our outstanding service we provide to them.
Last year our students were able to prepare nearly 3,000 income tax returns free of charge.

These returns resulted in over $ 5.1 million in refunds.

In doing this program, we hope to make a difference in and around our community.  As greeters and tax preparers our students want to provide our customers with the best service and attitude that we can.  We feel that it is for this reason that we continually see growth not only in our customer base, but in student participation as well.
