CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The Session explores recent trends and innovations in citizen e-participation in urban e-planning processes. It includes theoretical and empirical contributions addressing, but not limited to, the following issues:
o Web-based Citizen Participation in Urban e-Planning
o Citizens as Voluntary Sensors in Urban e-Planning
o Volunteered Geographic Information in Urban e-Planning
o Crowdsensing / Crowdsourcing Spatial Information
o Citizen Mobile Apps for Urban e-Planning
o Participatory Mapping and Public Engagement in Urban Planning
o Virtual/Mixed/Augmented reality in online participation
o Serious Games for Participatory e-Planning
o Social Media in Urban e-Planning
o E-Participation of Youth and Children
o Ethical issues in e-Participation: confidentiality, trust, diversity
o Citizen Science and Urban e-Planning
o Co-creation in Urban e-Planning
City, country and cross-country studies of citizen participation, as well as individual and comparative studies of cities are welcome. This can be either standard academic research or firsthand presentations by academics, planners or policy makers engaged in developing innovative modes of citizen e-participation.
Abstracts by members of the 'Urban e-Planning Research Network (UEPNET)', as well as from anyone with a relevant contribution in this field, are welcome. The Session is an opportunity for those interested on these issues to share their work and experiences.
The Session is endorsed by the 'International Journal of E-Planning Research (IJEPR)' and supported by the 'Urban e-Planning Research Network (UEPNET)'.
It is expected the publication of a selection of the papers in the 'International Journal of E-Planning Research (IJEPR). Papers will undergo the standard double blind peer review process of the journal.
Please send a 200 words abstract to Carlos Nunes Silva (cnsulisboa@gmail.com) no later than October 25th November 12. The AAG abstract submission deadline is October 31 November 14 (New deadline).
