CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The Session reviews global trends, challenges and innovations in the digitalization of Urban Governance and Urban Planning. It invites studies on these and related issues:
o Digital Urban Government and Urban Planning
o AI in Urban Governance
o Urban Planning in the AI City
o Citizen e-Participation in Urban Governance
o Citizen Science and Urban e-Planning
o Co-creation in Urban e-Governance
o Crowdsensing / Crowdsourcing Spatial Information
o Participatory Mapping and Public Engagement in Urban Planning
o Virtual/Mixed/Augmented reality in online participation
o Social Media in Urban e-Planning
Studies of cities, municipalities or countries, including individual or comparative research, are encouraged. This includes academic research or firsthand presentations from academics, planners, or policymakers working on innovative local and urban governance.
Abstracts are welcome from UEPNET members and from other colleagues with relevant work in this field. This Session offers a chance to share research and experiences on the digitalization of urban planning and urban governance.
Kindly submit a 200-word abstract to Carlos Nunes Silva (cnsulisboa@gmail.com) by October 10. The AAG abstract submission deadline is October 15.
The Session is organised as part of the Urban e-Planning Research Network (UEPNET), in collaboration with the International Journal of E-Planning Research (IJEPR).
The Session is endorsed by the AAG Specialty Group on Applied Geography and Specialty Group on Spatial Analysis and Modeling.
Selected papers are expected to be published in the 'International Journal of E-Planning Research (IJEPR)'. Papers will undergo the journal's standard double-blind peer review process.
