Graduate Student Conference

This one-day, annual graduate student conference is organized by graduate students and sponsored by the University of Delaware Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice every Spring semester.

The mission of the Sociology and Criminal Justice Graduate Student Conference is to recognize and foster the development of junior scholars and their research. This yearly event facilitates faculty mentorship and critical feedback toward the development of graduate and undergraduate research. The annual Graduate Student Conference should provide students with the opportunity to build professional skills, establish networking opportunities, receive feedback regarding ongoing student research, and most importantly, it will aim to cultivate an environment for a community of scholars.

The event concludes with a nominated guest speaker.  Past speakers have included Dr. Victoria Pitts-Taylor, Dr. David Grazian, Dr. Elijah Anderson, and Dr. Raymond Paternoster.
