About the club

Mission Statement

The University of Dayton International Club was formed to provide opportunities for interaction among and between international students and the University of Dayton community. Specifically, UDIC serves to

  • Develop and encourage mutual understanding and sensitivity to the cross-cultural experience.
  • Aid new international students in their transition to the United States.
  • Work with the administration in addressing the diverse needs of international students.
  • Develop awareness of different cultures among its members through social, cultural, and service programs.

Context

The University of Dayton International Club adheres to the University's Marianist values, in its perpetual effort of educating the whole person through various activities, which give insight to foreign cultures and lifestyles.

UDIC aims to expose the University of Dayton students to vibrant international activity opportunities that will transform their learning experience. In addition, the club seeks to cultivate in UD students an appreciation of the world's civilizations and also a keenness to the challenges of living peacefully and justly together.

In today's ever-changing world community, we believe that, it is imperative for each individual to possess a sense of the weight of one's decisions in a global aspect. One of the best ways to achieve this task, we believe is, through exposing the University of Dayton students to the wonders of the world on campus.
