GLOBAL LEARNING LIVING COMMUNITY
The Global Learning Living Community (formerly the International Learning Living Community) is a group of undergraduate students, both U.S. and international, who have chosen to live together in an international learning environment. Beginning fall 2012, the Global Learning Living Community (GLLC) will move locations to the new Caldwell Street Apartments. Residents participate in international dinners, panel discussions with faculty members, and off-campus excursions as they explore the cultures of countries across the world and within the U.S.
GLLC participants are immersed in a community that fosters the development of a continuous global conversation. These students share a common passion for international awareness in their own lives and strive to bring that awareness to the rest of the University community.
The GLLC aims to:
- Cultivate intercultural competence and sensitivity among residents.
- Educate residents for global citizenship through scholarship and collective inquiry.
- Foster relationship development among residents from different cultural backgrounds
