My current research interest is modeling the impact on watersheds from development and land use change. I am particularly focused on how the location of the development, such as upstream and downstream, influences overall streamflows and baseflows, as well as seasonal differences in low flows. These effects on the watershed impact the entire ecosystem, and therefore the goal of this research is to recommend best developmental and water management strategies. This project is part of a larger economics study to develop a cap and trade policy for water resources.
