Fernando Portes, MBA/MEng/MPS/PMP/CQE

Portes has been feeding colonies outside Troy Towers since 2007. In 2012 his family lost a cat of 21 years, and when he tried to do something in memory of this great cat, he found nothing in Union City to support organized and sustainable cat activities. As a result, he approached other cat loving friends and this led to the TNR of the colonies around Troy Towers. We all did not want these efforts to be isolated, one time activities and wanted other cat loving individuals to use what we had obtained (traps, holding space, organization). As a result they led to the formation of the UCFCC to ensure that those successful initial efforts could be replicated to other areas of Union City and adjacent towns.
