QCumber is an annual quantum science and technology conference organised by the UCL Physics & Astronomy postgraduate society and the Centre for Doctoral Training in Delivering Quantum Technologies. The event consists of a two-day programme of student talks, invited speakers, an ethic debate and networking (proceeded by a welcome day), taking place on 16th-18th June 2017, at Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Park. Cumberland lodge is a beautiful 17th century building geared specifically towards educational seminars and programmes such as this. There is no registration fee, and travel support, accommodation and food will be provided.

The scope of the conference is intentionally broad, welcoming students from all areas of quantum science and technology, however loosely related. As a student led event, we feel that it is important to foster inter-disciplinary interaction and collaboration. Each participant will have the opportunity to give a 20 minute (including questions) presentation about their research. Students from UCL, the LCN, or those who have a link to either of these are encouraged to apply.

In addition to the student talks there will also be tutorials presented by invited speakers and a session devoted to the discussion and debate of ethical issues related to science in general but with emphasis towards quantum science and technologies.

To register please complete the form under the 'Registration' tab by Friday 9th June. Abstract submission will be requested at a later date. Information about travel to the venue, the invited speakers, the 2017 programme, photos from previous years and contact information can all be found on this website.

Thank you and we hope to see you at Cumberland lodge,

The QCumber committee
